Hello again everyone, apologies for the amount of announcements this week!
We have an exciting update for you today. We've been hard at work preparing this and we hope you enjoy our new Merch Shop on Redbubble!! Proceeds from the shop will go to helping keep the group running smoothly, renewing the CORE/Super for the accounts, and funding future projects!
We've got a wide variety of clothing, mugs, stickers, and prints available!

Hello everyone!
- The Chrome sheet has been updated to mirror the other Mutation sheets! You can view it in all of its shiny newness here!

Information is exactly the same as the old sheet, but a few sentences have been reworded to make it a bit easier to understand! Sunset will be the next mutation sheet on our list to be updated.

Hello everyone and Happy August!

Very small update for you all today; There has been a lot of confusion and conflicting report on the issue of Cosmic and Bone crowns and the use of the two together. To clarify, we've updated the Crowns' previously vague descriptions, and I'll break it down for you all as quickly as I can:
While the Cosmic and Bone crowns (and other headwear or head/horn decors) can be equipped to the same horse at once, they cannot be used, or drawn in the same image.

With the Cosmic and Bone crowns being from different 'factions' of the Highlord scheme, as well as being the same type of item, this was always the intention for the items; however since the Realmwar Event the crowns have been rarely brought up which aided to the confusion and we apologize for that!

The new horn decors also apply to this information!

However, we hope that the situation is clear and if not I will be happy to answer any questions!

Hello there lovely EquusBallator community!

This is a small reminder that if you see any instances of art theft, tracing, or other copies of intellectual property, **please** send a note to the group so that the staff can review it! This includes both on Deviantart and off - The EB group is only affiliated to Deviantart and our official group facebook page. Any instances of official group activity on other websites should be reported to the Admin Team. You are of course allowed to upload your artwork to instagram, facebook, tumblr etc. to display your personal work, but group activities such as horse sales, posting images for stats and events must go through Deviantart only.

Hi everyone!
This is a reminder/announcement that once stats are accepted into the group, individual users cannot put “holds” on stats when other users are involved.
In other words, if you post art for someone else, they have the right to claim the stats as soon as the art is in the group, as we do not control who can and cannot claim stats in any other manner other than the art being in the group. If a payment has not been made, for example, that is hindering individuals from wanting others to claim stats, that must be worked out privately and the group will continue allowing the stats to be claimed!

We apologize for the slight delay in posting this journal! The updates were ready, however bad storms on Fargo's end of the world prevented her (me) from posting this journal.

UPDATES to SYSTEMS

- Fused Horns are now included for customs and have a +1 trait cost!
- The very long, extensive genetics guide that had a lot of information and was a tad overwhelming has been updated!

You will find some new guides to the dilution/modifer genes there, as well! This guide is linked on the front page under 'Breeding > Genetics.'
- The Makeover Kit item is now officially for sale for 1500 Denarii!

REGALE'S QUESTS

It's finally here!
RQ has been given a very glorious facelift, and we are proud to announce a new system within RQ, called Regale's Glade. This area opens a new hunting region only available to those who are currently doing the quests. Past questers will not be able to complete these quests, but new questers will be able to really experience New RQ with the addition of the Glade!

Since we are nearing 10,000 comments on the Denarii hub, comments on it after today will not be answered and you will need to comment on the new Denarii Hub Comment Journal HERE! All the links on the old Denarii hub journal now go directly to the new one, so if you have it bookmarked you can leave it!

Hello Everyone!
This is a notice that we will be closing comments on the Denarii hub as of July 17th, due to it being close to 10,000 comments. A new, clean comment journal will be uploaded and all Denarii Transactions will be moved to that journal. Please do not flood the system in an attempt to get your comments in before the close, as that may break the current journal; the current Denarii Hub journal will only be closed for the day so there's no need to rush!

Also: General reminder that also on the 17th, we will be releasing the new Regale's Quests and adding Fused Horns to the list of possible traits for imports.

After over a month of attempts by the entire community, the new mutation has been rolled by Reiitro! Congratulations!! Now, we can release it to the public!
Please welcome the Saber Mutation!!



This mutation is a Lesser Mutation and as such will be added to the Lesser Mutation Dice. This mutation has the same chance to roll in breedings as Heterochromia, Birdcatcher, Bend-Or, Belton, Asinus, Somatic, and Cryptic Merle, and just like those mutations it is not hereditary!

PNG lineart for the Saber mutation is being worked on and will be released shortly.

Hello friends!

We've got a slew of updates and announcements this month!

- The Breeding Event is still ongoing! The new mutation seems to be particularly illusive; who will be the lucky one to snag the first one? Send in some breeding notes for a chance to roll it!

- Since Fused Hornsets are becoming more popular, we will be adding 'Fused' to the Flat Rate import information/Trait list sheet. Like other shapes, the Fused shape will add +1 trait to your import's final count. This will go into effect July 17th!

- The Tournament will not be happening this year. We apologize for any disappointment, but we are actively working on ways to make this monumental event easier to understand, more fun, and challenging as ever!

- Import Season is delayed until January, 2020. Due to the huge amount of behind-the-scenes projects, surprises, and events we have in store, we simply do not have time for imports this year, but we hope what we are planning will be just as exciting!

- Regale's Quests is getting a MAJOR update, coming July 17th! Expect a polished system, a new, exciting region for hunting solely attached to RQ, and more! After July 17th, all RQ submissions submitted will adhere to the new RQ requirements. The basic quests are still the same, not to worry if you have WIP's! 

- The new hunting system is still being worked on, and we hope to have it out by August-September of this year!
For fun, here is a sneak peek of individualized hunting sheets that were created for each type!

Hello all!! The hiatus is officially over and the group can continue as normal.
Some small reminders:

New Admins in Training - You will see some new faces as we train our Interns and New Admins! Please welcome them as they begin helping the group and members out with tasks!!

Turnaround Times - Turnaround times for certain group aspects may be a bit slow as we work through any hiatus-related backlog, so please be patient!

New Mutation - A secret, new mutation has sprung into existence as a thank-you for patience during the Hiatus. This mutation is randomly rolled in breedings and is NOT in the Breeding Roller, so no matter how many times you click the pon-maker, you won't see it  Once the mutation has been rolled, an announcement will be made and the mutation will be officially released along with adding it to the Lesser mutation dice item.

Be on the lookout for the next monthly quest for June as well as EB Of the Month voting!!

Hello! Just a small update for everyone regarding the hiatus and some group horse things:

Slots to Group Horses earned from the Reference for a Slot Event
- due to the hiatus, the deadline to use these slots has been pushed back to June 30th! After that date, if the slot has still be unused it will be wiped and you will be unable to use it.

Current Group Horse Rentals
- all group horse rentals have been granted an extension for their deadlines! Anyone who had their rental set to expire during May or in the first few days of June will now have until June 7th to post with the finish payments and until June 21st to send in the breeding note.

Hello everyone!
A few updates for you today.

1. General reminder that the Group Hiatus begins on May 1. During this time, there will be a reduced workflow as the admins take a much-deserved break, and Fargonon is getting married this month so a hiatus will allow the team to break without worry of major issues popping their heads up while the boss is away!

All submissions to the group's gallery will be closed. Comment chains on the Design Hub, Stat System, Breedings, Bank, etc will obviously remain open but as the admins are on break, will experience a slower response time then usual.

2. Thank you to everyone who applied for the admin positions! It was a very difficult process, but we have chosen some new admins and you will be seeing them around the group very soon! We are very excited to have new members on our team, and sincerely thank everyone who took the time to apply.

A couple of announcements today!

 A small change to OT's - when you transfer a horse, you will now be asked to remove the horse's old reference from the group as part of the transfer - the transfer will not be completed unless the old reference is removed, which you can do before or after you send in the note. If you choose to do it after, you must reply to the transfer admin as soon as the reference is removed to complete the transfer. You can find all the info you need in the FAQ section, linked on the front page in the drop-down menu!

And lastly:
This is a friendly heads up that this month of April, while the team is searching for new team members and doing other important tasks, the workflow will be slower. Please be understanding and patient with the team during this time! In addition, the group will go on hiatus from May 1 to May 31 (or possibly slightly into June) to train new team members, work on any backlog, and to keep the workflow small due to the training of admins and as I (Fargo) am getting married that month and will not be able to be online frequently at that time. Thank you for understanding!

Hello everyone! A few small changes coming your way today:


We have two new items hitting the streets today:


The Horn Changer will completely replace the 'Horn Skinchanger' part of the Skinchanger item; if you have Skinchangers used for horns in your banks, they can be used normally! the new item is to ease confusion that the Skinchanger item caused with designing horns. The Horn Changer has the same design rules as the previous Skinchanger item.



The Makeover Kit includes 3 items used to alter your Ballator's appearance: 1 Skinchanger, 1 Horn Changer, and 1 Mutante Calvaria, bundled for your purchasing convenience!  This item will be available for purchase after the following event's conclusion:

And a small reminder about our Group Horse Reference event that is running this month! We are happy to announce that a few extra prizes have been added in: - Winners for each group horse will also receive 1x Makeover Kit as shown above! - In addition, everyone who enters the event (whether you win or not) will be put into a raffle for one Highlord's Wish prize!! Hello everyone!!
Thank you all so so much for entering into this event and giving some life to our new and old Group Horses! It's been such a pleasure seeing all the wonderful entries! While we wish everyone could win, unfortunately not everyone could!
Below please find the winners for each Group Horse. We've also included a list of the runners-ups! Don't forget that everyone gets a prize if you entered properly. All prizes, including those of the winners, must be claimed by commenting on THIS comment. It just makes it easier for us admins to make sure no one gets lost! A reminder that you have until March 31 to claim your prizes or you forfeit them.
The references for these Group Horses will be updated within the next week and you'll get to see your lovely art featured!

And lastly,
Due to some recent confusion with Extracts, the team will be offering members until the end of February (specifically, midnight on the 28th of February, US Eastern Time) to use maximum 2 raspberry and 2 blueberry extracts on one horse - this does not allow for 4 of one kind of extract! After Feb. 28th the extracts will resume their normal use of 2 extracts of any type maximum per horse. This means, for example, the horse can have 1 blueberry and 1 raspberry, or 2 blueberry, not 2 of each type of extract. Thank you and please ask if you have any questions!

Happy February Everyone!

Some of you may have noticed already but for those who haven’t - each Group Horse has had their personalities expanded by the admin with even more information to give them more depth as characters.

We are very excited to announce several Group Horse related updates!

1) Group Horses will now pass on stats to their offspring as they pass stat levels like any EB

2) Denali, our beautiful zebroid african mare, is now available for rent!

3) There are now ‘item drops’ as an incentive to draw the Group Horses! These items can be redeemed at the Denarii Hub and only fullbody (non-chibi) images count. The item dropped by each GH can be found on their reference in the EBS account! This is not retroactive and will only count for images posted to Deviantart after February 1, 2019. As with all redemptions, the artwork must be accepted into the group in order to claim the item.

4) We have five new group horses:

Hello Everyone!

Due to some confusion here are a few reminders about our Banking and Item Use systems:

Please keep in mind that you may only purchase/apply up to 3 items per comment, please try not post more than 5 comments at a time!

When applying a Companion please keep in mind that regular companions are stat tier locked and you will not be able to apply it to a horse that doesn't have the correct confirmed stat level! Please see the Guide: Companion Animals for more information! Also on this note please be aware that you can only have one companion from each stat tier!

When using a Nameplate item please remember to link the Ballator's ID Plaque and their Current Name and what you are changing it to!

When applying any item to a Ballator please link their ID Plaque and not their reference sheet!

When using a Breeding or Design item (i.e Fertili Tea, Premium Raspberry) please remember to link them in your breeding note BEFORE it is rolled! To add this item correctly please  do this:

1) Send in Breeding Note
2) Go to bank and apply item to Note
3) IMMEDIATELY go back and link to your application comment with what item you are using. Make sure you are EDITING your note and not replying to it!

with a link to the application comment in the note you will not have to worry about going back and not being able to edit your comment/note and both the Banking and Breeding admin will be able to see it to apply and remove the item from your bank!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Poecilia Update

Poe has been given an assortment of new colors and a new marking!

Poecilia is a genetically engineered mutation based on the Poecilia fish genus, more commonly known as the Guppy. Specialized scientists worked with the Ballator’s unusual pigmentation cells and recreated them on the genes that control normal horse coat color. When the research was through, there was both good and bad news: The pigments had adhered themselves to the genes and it worked, but many genes became invalidated and lost in the process. Thus, any paint, appaloosa, and the majority of Equus Ballator mutations will not express on a Poecilia horse, however they can express minimal white markings. Poecilia horses come in two main color groups: Warm and Cold. There are also sub-categories, such as Metallic and Special. A Poecillia will only produce colors in it’s color group.
